Summit Seekrs – Terms of Service

Welcome to Summit Seekrs! By accessing or participating in any of our activities, services, or website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Participation & Personal Responsibility

1.1. Voluntary Participation: By joining any Summit Seekrs hike, trip or event, you acknowledge that participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

1.2. Health & Fitness: You confirm that you are in good health and physically able to participate. You assume full responsibility for any health-related risks. We are not liable for injuries, medical conditions or incidents resulting from participation.

1.3. Personal Equipment: You are responsible for bringing appropriate gear, including but not limited to:

• Hiking boots/shoes

• Waterproof clothing

• Food and hydration

• Any personal medication

1.4. Medical Disclosure: While participants are not required to disclose medical conditions, you must carry any necessary medication (e.g., inhalers, EpiPens) and inform a trusted person in your group if necessary.

2. Safety, Liability & Assumption of Risk

2.1. Assumption of Risk: Hiking and outdoor activities involve risks such as injuries, uneven terrain, wildlife encounters, adverse weather conditions and altitude changes. By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

2.2. No Insurance Coverage: Summit Seekrs does not provide insurance for participants. You are advised to have personal travel, health or activity insurance, especially for international trips.

2.3. Compliance with Safety Guidelines: Participants must adhere to all safety instructions provided by the hike leader(s) or guides. Failure to follow instructions may result in removal from the event.

2.4. Emergency Situations: Participants must provide emergency contact details before joining any trip. Summit Seekrs will do its best to assist in emergencies but is not liable for medical or rescue expenses.

3. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds

3.1. Event Fees: Some hikes and trips require payment, which will be outlined at the time of booking.

3.2. Refund Policy: Payments are non-refundable unless an event is canceled by Summit Seekrs. We are not responsible for participant cancellations due to personal circumstances.

3.3. Changes & Cancellations:

• If a hike is postponed due to extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered an alternative date.

• If a participant can no longer attend, they may transfer their booking to another person if approved in advance.

3.4. Third-Party Services: If a trip involves transportation, accommodation, or other services from third-party providers, their terms apply separately. Summit Seekrs is not responsible for delays, cancellations or service issues related to third parties.

4. Photography, Videography & Media Consent

4.1. Consent to Photography: By attending a Summit Seekrs event, you consent to being photographed or filmed. Images may be used for promotional purposes on our website, social media or marketing materials.

4.2. Opting Out: If you do not wish to be included in photos or videos, please inform us in writing before the event.

4.3. Use of Participant Content: If you share photos or videos taken during our hikes and tag Summit Seekrs, we may repost your content with proper credit.

5. Conduct & Community Guidelines

5.1. Respect & Inclusivity: Summit Seekrs promotes a welcoming and inclusive community. Discrimination, harassment or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Participants who engage in inappropriate conduct may be removed from events and banned from future participation.

5.2. Leave No Trace: Participants must respect nature by following Leave No Trace principles, including:

• Proper waste disposal

• Avoiding damage to flora and fauna

• Keeping noise levels to a minimum

5.3. Alcohol & Substance Policy: The consumption of alcohol or recreational drugs is not permitted during hikes.

6. International Hikes & Travel

6.1. Travel Requirements: Participants must ensure they meet all travel requirements, including valid passports, visas and health regulations (e.g., vaccinations).

6.2. Currency & Payments: All international trips must be paid in full before departure. Payment schedules will be outlined for each trip.

6.3. Itinerary Changes: Due to weather conditions, transportation issues or other unforeseen circumstances, Summit Seekrs reserves the right to modify itineraries as needed.

6.4. Liability Waiver: Participants must sign a liability waiver before taking part in international hikes. Summit Seekrs is not responsible for travel disruptions, medical emergencies or losses incurred during international trips.

7. External Collaborations & Partnerships

7.1. Brand & Charity Collaborations: Summit Seekrs has partnered with brands, charities and international hiking communities to deliver meaningful outdoor experiences. Collaborations may involve sponsorships, affiliate links or joint events, which will be disclosed accordingly.

7.2. Independent Planning Services: We offer planning services for individual, group or corporate hikes. Clients are responsible for adhering to the agreed terms and conditions of these services.

8. Modifications & Updates

8.1. Changes to Terms: Summit Seekrs reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and continued participation indicates acceptance of the changes.

8.2. Severability: If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections shall remain in full effect.
